The heater has far exceeded our expectations. When visitors stay, long after it is out we find them leaning against it, or curled up with a book (or asleep) on the lounge in front of it. Enjoying a blazing fire in the evening and, without any messy refueling, being able to come down to breakfast and feel the heat still radiating from it is what masonry heating is all about.
Once a day is all that we need to fire it during the coldest weather; and rarely for more than three consecutive days.
